Middle School Student Council shares news: Gotcha cards are back!
Teachers hand these cards out to students in the hallways, dining hall, and classrooms when they are seen displaying kindness, respectfulness, and/or responsibility. At the end of the month, we randomly choose 4 students who will win a gift card. All gotcha cards and winners' pictures will be hung on a bulletin board in the dining hall. Encourage your student to get one of these!

Our mission is to provide a quality education through shared responsibility in a safe supportive environment for all students to meet the challenges of a global society.

We are “Committed to Excellence”, and we work hard to make the site a primary source for timely information for all users, and a main gateway for improved communication between parents, teachers, students and other members of our community. Our goal and responsibility is to help each student develop an enthusiasm for learning, a respect for self and others, and the skills to become a creative independent thinker and problem solver.

Dear Dover Middle School Parents and Families,

Greetings! I would like to begin by stating that it is an honor and a privilege to be named as the Principal of Dover Middle School. Having worked here previously as a teacher, I am thrilled at the opportunity to once again be a part of the Dover Schools community. I know firsthand that Dover possesses a caring, professional, and dedicated faculty and staff, and I look forward to partnering with them to create a positive middle school experience for your child.  I also look forward to connecting with you as we prepare for a great 2019-2020 school year!

One of the goals of the Dover Union Free School District is to develop systems that lead to “success, well-being, and high academic outcomes for all students.” As Principal of Dover Middle School, I will work together with our faculty and staff to create an environment that encourages our students to be creative and critical thinkers, while also supporting their social and emotional needs.  It is important that our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students come to school every day feeling safe, supported, and excited to learn. I look forward to collaborating with you and welcome your input as we share in the vision and mission of providing exceptional educational opportunities for our students.

The first day of school for students, Thursday September 5th, is right around the corner. With each new school year comes new opportunities for personal growth and progress. I hope that everyone enjoys these last few weeks of summer, and I look forward to meeting you all soon. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions.
